In certain jurisdictions, CBIZ CPAs operates under its previous name, Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED At least five years of professional, retirement plan administration, and compliance experiencePossesses advanced knowledge and understanding of industry and professional concepts, principles, practices, and proceduresPossesses expert knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, and professional standardsExpert use of applicable technologyProficient use of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and enterprise communication and travel solutions (Concur, Skype)Experience performing work that requires initiative and leadership skillsExperience in coaching and teaching others Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA), Qualified 401(K) Administrator (QKA) Ability to anticipate and elicit customer needsAbility to self-learn and develop business and technical knowledge quickly Motivated team player with demonstrated interpersonal skillsComfortable working with quick turnaround times and deadlinesExcellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organizationAbility to travel as necessaryEssential Functions and Primary DutiesPrimary contact for a specified block of business and is responsible for the overall client satisfaction on the assigned businessPerform all required Compliance Testing and related itemsReconciles assets, prepare Form 5500 and all schedulesPreparation of necessary allocations for Employer contributions and calculations such as required minimum distributions and Qualified Domestic Relations OrdersRespond to Plan sponsors in a professional and timely manner concerning issues or questionsPromote client retention and identify opportunities to build existing relationships through timely service qualityResolve complex situations or requestsAchieve service goals established by departmentAdditional responsibilities as assignedPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field5+ years of retirement plan administration or compliance experienceStrong background in compliance testing, Form 5500 preparation, allocations, and asset reconciliationWorking knowledge of ERISA and IRS/DOL regulations related to retirement plan administrationExperience reviewing or auditing the work of others for accuracy and complianceFamiliarity with FT William software used for 5500 and complianceProficiency with retirement plan administration systems and Microsoft ExcelQKA, QPA ASPPA credentials, or progress toward certificationPosting Date: 2026-09-24
