Henry Ford St. John Hospital is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN Hospitalist Physician to join our highly regarded Women’s Health team as a Night OB Hospitalist . This is an exceptional opportunity to practice in a high-acuity, academically driven environment alongside a collaborative and experienced multidisciplinary team. This position offers an excellent work-life balance with only 11 shifts per month , with shifts ranging from 11–14 hours , allowing physicians to maintain flexibility while practicing at a premier institution dedicated to excellence in women’s healthcare.

Our Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology includes a strong, collaborative OB/GYN generalist service and a respected 16-resident ACGME-accredited residency training program , creating a dynamic academic and clinical environment for physicians who enjoy teaching and mentorship.
Position Highlights
As a Night OB Hospitalist, you will:
- Supervise and support residents managing patients in the Emergency Department, OB triage, Labor & Delivery, and the Operating Room
- Provide hands-on clinical teaching to residents, medical students, and other learners
- Perform OB and GYN consultations, including Emergency Department consultations
- Perform minor gynecologic surgical procedures
- Work collaboratively with subspecialists and nursing leadership to ensure exceptional patient-centered care
Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a physician who is:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN (MD or DO)
- Clinically driven with experience in a high-acuity obstetrics setting
- A strong communicator and collaborative team player
- Passionate about delivering quality, patient-centered care
- Enthusiastic about resident and medical student education
