High School History Teacher

POSITION AVAILABLE: High School History Teacher POSITION STARTS: Monday, July 27, 2026 SCHEDULE: 7:45AM to 4:15PM, Monday thru Friday in keeping with academic schedule. PRIMARY PURPOSE: To provide on campus, classroom instruction for middle and/or high school students in a diverse, private school in Jacksonville, Florida.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Providing appropriate learning experiences for students across a range of cultural backgrounds. Ensuring proper classroom etiquette and behavior. Preparing and following class-appropriate lesson plans.

REQUIREMENTS

Communicating effectively with students and parents concerning student progress, working both independently and with the department team to ensure student success; strong interpersonal and classroom management skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

Previously taught in a Florida public or private school for 3 or more years. Bachelor's degree (4 years from an accredited university).

BENEFITS / COMPENSATION

Base salary is negotiable between $38,000 and $41,000 a year (prorated based on start date). Participation in a 403(b) Retirement Plan is available immediately upon hire.
