Night Auditor | Friday and Saturday - Overnight Job Category: Front Office Requisition Number: NIGHT008509 Location: Courtyard by Marriott, Minneapolis West, Wayzata Blvd, St. Louis Park, MN 55426, USA This position is responsible for balancing and closing the previous business day and completing daily financial reports. The Night Auditor manages person‑in‑charge duties during the overnight shift, ensuring security protocols are followed and guests receive friendly, professional, and timely service in line with CSM’s high standards of quality. Responsibilities Perform manager‑on‑duty role during the 3rd shift. Anticipate and respond to guests in a friendly and positive manner. Provide the highest level of service. Process check‑ins and check‑outs, verify billing, create reservations, and process special requests. Assume knowledge of hotel property, local attractions, and hotel outlet hours to assist guests. Work independently or in a team to meet guest needs and contribute to other departments as needed. Follow the CSM guest service recovery program. Accurately balance all revenue sources and prepare daily financial reports for managerial review. Process no‑show reservations. Close the financial day for the hotel. Implement selling techniques and strategies to maximize room revenues. Monitor room availability, apply restrictions, and enforce booking policies and procedures. Drive sales and maximize revenue by up‑selling rooms and amenities. Follow CSM procedures for handling cash and processing financial transactions. Use all equipment properly and adhere to cost controls to reduce expenses and waste. Plan, organize, and prioritize work duties to meet required volume. After financial tasks, work on assigned projects, stock supplies, and assist other overnight staff. Adhere to CSM general work rules and department procedures; attend required department and hotel meetings. Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with CSM, brand, local, state, and federal regulations. Follow all CSM procedures for guest/associate incidents and be knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures. Qualifications 2+ years of prior guest service experience, preferably in hospitality. Previous night audit or accounting experience preferred. Excellent computer and communication skills. Strong attention to detail, customer‑focused, and able to perform duties in a fast‑paced environment. Education High school diploma or GED required. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis.
