Growing Seasons Landscaping (GSL), a family-owned company serving the Greater Pittsburgh area, is seeking dedicated Snowplow Operators to join our team for the winter season. As a Snowplow Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and accessibility of commercial and residential properties during winter storms. This position is ideal for individuals who are dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in challenging winter conditions. GSL offers a supportive work environment, flexible on-call scheduling, and opportunities for growth within the company.
Responsibilities
- Operate snowplow trucks and salting equipment to clear snow and ice from parking lots, drive lanes, and designated areas.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Respond promptly to snow and ice events, including early mornings, nights, and weekends as needed.
- Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines while on the job.
- Work closely with the Landscape Foreman and Production Manager to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license required (CDL is a plus).
- Previous experience operating snowplows or similar equipment preferred.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Ability to work long or irregular hours during winter storms.
- Must pass a drug screening.
