About This Office

Silver Creek Dental Care | Knoxville, TN

Schedule:

Monday (9a-6p)

Tuesday (8am-6pm)

Wednesday (8am-5pm)

Thursday (7am-5pm)

Friday (8am-5pm)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling and root planing (SRP)
• Perform patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories, taking vital signs, and documenting findings
• Take and review dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, periodontal health, and preventive care
• Partner with the doctor to diagnose and co-treatment plan for optimal patient outcomes
• Utilize Dentrix for patient documentation, scheduling, and charting
• Assist with iTero scans and support digital dentistry workflows
• Maintain infection control standards in compliance with CDC and OSHA guidelines
• Build strong patient relationships to ensure a positive and comfortable experience
• Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure smooth daily flow and excellent patient care

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Tennessee
• 23 years of clinical experience as a dental hygienist preferred
• Experience with Dentrix, iTero, and Microsoft Office required
• Strong clinical skills in preventive and periodontal treatment
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and a strong commitment to patient care

Qualifications:

• Current dental hygienist license
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office
