Solar OperatorMortenson is currently seeking a Solar Operator that will be responsible for operating equipment as directed and specified while adhering to all rules and regulations as mandated by Mortenson safety policies and procedures.ResponsibilitiesFollows prescribed safety regulationsEnsures that all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned areaPerforms routine maintenance to include lubricating, fueling and cleaningObserves equipment operation to detect machine malfunctionFollows work plans and pre-task cardsOther duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as neededOperates the following equipment based on the requirements of the project: Mini ExcavatorBackhoeTrackhoeLoaderForklift/TelehandlerBobcat/Skid-steerQualificationsEquipment certifications as requiredMinimum three years of related experienceCurrent driver's license of proper classification and necessary endorsements as required by lawStrong teamwork orientation, positive attitude, professional customer service skills, and detail-oriented; ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and load chartsAbility to operate equipment by moving levers, shifting gears, depressing pedals, and maneuvering steering wheels; knowledge of equipment and their uses; basic mathematical skillsAbility to work independently with active listening and effective communication skills, open to diverse input and feedbackRepetitive hand, arm, leg movements*Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling: up to 50 lbs.Please note: this position description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of the duties and responsibilities of the position.
