Roles And Responsibilities

Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations. Administering radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images. Positioning patients and equipment, explaining the procedures, and ensuring patients' comfort. Inserting commands and data into the computer to document and specify the scan sequences, and monitoring the video display to adjust the density or contrast. Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring their safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation. Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to the Physician, and updating patients' records. Organizing the daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitoring radiographic supplies. Performing administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice. Performing scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

This is an Interventional Radiology position. Must have experience in neuro as we are a comprehensive stroke and level 2 trauma center. Must be able to respond to the hospital for strokes within 30 minutes. We also provide services for our vascular surgeons and general body cases. Responsible to scrub in and assist physicians during cases, prep pts and room, clean procedure rooms, stock, complete exams and other IR duties as needed. On call during the week (~15hrs on the day they work) and on weekends on a rotational basis. (Weekend call is 24 hrs on Sat and Sun.)
