Plasma Material Handling Associate OperatorLocation: Clayton, NC 27520 Pay Rate: $25.00 - $25.80 / Hour Work Schedule: Friday - Sunday, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (12-Hour Shifts, Occasional Overtime Required)Job Overview: The Plasma Material Handling Associate Operator serves as a central point of contact for plasma operations at the Plasma Logistics Center. This role receives raw plasma from donor centers, controls inventory throughout the receipt, classification, and distribution stages, and manages material flow to fractionation using forklifts and specialized equipment. Utilizing the Plasma Management System (SGP) and Radio Frequency Terminals (RFT), the operator inspects equipment, manages freezer work orders, and maintains strict adherence to cGMP, OSHA, and EHS requirements in extreme cold-storage environments.Job SpecificationsUnload incoming plasma shipments, sort plasma types, and record receipts within the Plasma Management System (SGP).Safely operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and rider electric pallet jacks to transport and store materials throughout the warehouse and freezers.Monitor and track inventory movements across freezer and warehouse locations using Radio Frequency Terminal (RFT) equipment.Pull, locate, and verify raw materials from freezer work orders for production.Inspect incoming equipment (crates, pallets) for damage to determine production suitability.Identify, isolate, and remove rejected or unsuitable plasma units from production units (PUs) and consolidated lots.Support the Classification department by managing rejected or relocated plasma units from the inspection line.Maintain cGMP compliance, 5S standards, cleanliness, and organization across all work areas.Follow all company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), cGMP standards, OSHA rules, and EHS requirements.Work in extreme cold freezer conditions (-30°C or colder) and perform repetitive lifting of 25 to 50 lbs.Qualifications and ExperienceBasic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and basic computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills alongside solid organizational and multi-tasking abilities.Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.Preferred: One year of experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or FDA-licensed facility.Preferred: Knowledge of cGMPs, industry standards, and experience interpreting and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Requirement: Must pass required background verifications, OIG/SAM exclusion checks, and a 9-panel drug test (excluding THC).Education RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED required.Benefits (employee contribution):Health insuranceHealth savings accountDental insuranceVision insuranceFlexible spending accountsLife insuranceRetirement planAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
