Strategic Sourcing Coordinator

Location: Dallas, TX

Work Arrangement: Hybrid, at least 3 days onsite per week; ideally fully onsite initially for training

Pay Rate: $24/hour

Role Type: Contract - open ended

No C2C or 3 rd party staffing companies please!

 

Key Responsibilities

• Execute purchase orders with manufacturers supporting three wholesale distribution centers.
• Analyze inventory, demand, and purchasing data to support replenishment and supply chain decisions.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and manage order timelines.
• Work with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, confirm deliveries, and address supply issues.
• Build and maintain Excel reports, analyze trends, and support ongoing procurement and operational initiatives.
• Learn and navigate existing procurement databases and planning systems.

Required Qualifications

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, reporting, and data analysis.
• Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, inventory management, or demand planning.
• Experience processing purchase orders and coordinating with vendors.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with large amounts of data.
• Proactive communication, urgency, follow-through, and a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle, AX, or demand planning systems.
• Background in wholesale distribution, grocery, retail, or high-volume inventory environments.
• Footwear or apparel buying/category management experience is a significant plus.
