Family Assistant- Palos Verdes, California

A busy family in Palos Verdes Peninsula is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and hands-on Family Assistant to provide a combination of household, personal, administrative, and family support. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who takes pride in keeping the home organized, assisting with the family's busy schedule, preparing meals, and anticipating needs before they arise. The family has a wonderful nanny they value and is not looking for a replacement nanny or housekeeper, but rather someone who can provide additional support and flexibility, particularly on weekends and when the family needs extra coverage. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on support with the day-to-day organization and management of the home.
• Manage the principals wardrobe, including ensuring suits are ready, dress shirts are pressed, and clothing is organized and prepared for travel.
• Assist with scheduling, appointments, and other personal administrative tasks.
• Help prepare the home for occasional business meetings and guests.
• Assist with cooking and meal preparation.
• Provide occasional childcare support for the family's 2.5-year-old child, particularly on weekends.
• Work closely with the family's existing nanny and housekeeping team to provide supplemental support.
• Handle miscellaneous household and personal tasks as they arise.

 

Qualifications:

• Self-starter who can identify what needs to be done and take ownership of tasks.
• Strong organizational skills, particularly with clothing, household systems, scheduling, and personal details.
• Comfortable providing occasional childcare and interacting warmly with young children.
• Able to prepare simple healthy family meals.
• Comfortable working alongside other household staff.
• Discreet and respectful of the family's privacy.

 
Salary: $45 - $50 per hour

Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday
