Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring 1+ year of experience and CA PT license.

Details

• Acute Care Hospital setting with 212 staffed beds
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, Tuesday-Saturday 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Patient population includes geriatrics, orthopedics, ER, ICU, and medical surgical cases
• Treats conditions including COPD, CHF, CABG, MI, hip fractures, knee injuries, and post-stroke rehabilitation
• Uses call lights, crutches, gait belt, hospital beds, standard walker, and supplemental oxygen equipment
• Epic EMR used for charting
• May float between sister facilities as needed

Requirements

• Active CA PT license required if applicable
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent physical therapy experience required
• Acute care setting experience required
• Experience with AROM/AAROM/PROM, assistive devices, body mechanics, pain assessment, skin integrity, strength testing, and vital sign monitoring
• Epic charting experience preferred
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient evaluation, plan of care development, reassessments, discharge planning, and home exercise program instruction
• Provides patient and family education throughout treatment
• Free parking available on-site
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates within 50-mile radius accepted at local rate
• Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must be outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront at time of application; post-offer requests may not be accommodated
