Senior Kubernetes Engineer

Working remotely, the full-time Senior Kubernetes Engineer will design, operate, and enhance production Kubernetes clusters on Amazon EKS while ensuring reliability and security for a large federal enterprise cloud platform. Key responsibilities: Designing, operating, and upgrading production Kubernetes clusters, including managing cluster lifecycle and scaling Automating cluster provisioning and configuration using infrastructure as code, primarily with Terraform Mentoring engineers and presenting design documents to stakeholders while participating in technical interviews Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of education Expert-level experience operating Kubernetes in production, preferably Amazon EKS Proficiency in at least one infrastructure-as-code tool, with a preference for Terraform Strong understanding of containerization, networking, and core DevOps concepts Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Public Trust / suitability determination
