Shift: Nights (12hr shift)

Pay Range: $32.19/hr to $46.68/hr

Position Summary

This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Orange Coast Medical Center. The employee shall support Orange Coast Medical Center's strategic plan and participate in and advocate performance improvement/patient safety activities.


The LVN in the Medical Unit is responsible for providing patient care in a safe and effective manner. Additional responsibilities include directing the Patient Care Assistant activity, synthesizing patient information, performing focused assessments of patients, reviewing discharge instructions, implementing treatment plan/MD orders, and documenting and evaluating per unit standards. Collaboration between healthcare team members and integration of patient care standards are incorporated into all clinical activities.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Qualifications

Experience

• One year experience working as an LVN in an acute care hospital or emergency department setting preferred.
• Electronic Medical Record experience preferred.

Education

• Licensed Vocational Nurse Certification required
• Intravenous Therapy and Blood Withdrawal (IVBW) Certification required
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
