ROLE SUMMARY The General Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a Fluent dispensary in accordance with the Office of Medical Marijuana in Florida and standards set by Fluent. The General Manager measures sales and sales improvement of the team and individual Curators, establishes and maintains patient services, oversees store operation, ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandise, inventory control, expense management, collaboration with human resources, and operating cost management. The General Manager supports all store employees with scheduling, training, policy updates, industry news, and product information, maintaining the highest level of presentation, customer service, and compassion for all patients. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure that each patient receives outstanding guest service by providing a friendly environment, greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining exceptional standards, providing solid product knowledge, and all other components of exemplary service. Analyze and measure sales trends; develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives as a team and for each team member. Train, supervise, and evaluate all departmental employees to assure compliance with departmental SOPs. Engage and inspire store teams to achieve maximum performance by modeling behavior that fosters energy, ownership, teamwork, and personal commitment. Ensure departmental compliance with the Medical Use of Marijuana Program and HIPAA regulations, including confidentiality, training, patient record keeping, creation, review, and submission of reports, and preparation of policies and procedures. Conduct regular store management and staff meetings, walk-throughs, monthly one-on-one meetings with team members, and audits to enforce compliance with policies and procedures. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reviews accompanied by written improvement plans. Conduct and oversee audits. Ensure proper management of pre-packaged inventory and inventory movement between the vault and dispensing stations. Partner with the Human Resources department to recommend salaries, write appraisals, and take disciplinary actions when required. Maintain a clean and organized dispensary for patients. Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment. Oversee and ensure cash management procedures are followed, including transacting, opening, closing, depositing, reporting, maintaining, and reconciling cash with Bio Track. Engage and coordinate with managers in all departments to ensure the dispensary runs smoothly, including delivery, cultivation, and security. Stay informed and knowledgeable about state and local laws, regulations, and industry news. Continuously evaluate and react to performance issues and actively recruit candidates. Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relations. During the first two weeks of employment, all new dispensary employees are on a temporary paid training period pending background check and drug test results. QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE Previous experience with retail sales. Excellent customer service skills. Leadership ability with at least five years of experience in a retail store setting or in a business solutions environment. Leadership and organizational abilities. Proficient computer skills. Ability to manage all levels of employees in a fast-paced environment. Strong people and presentation skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Flexible working hours based on business needs and 10+ hour shifts. Ability to maintain and demonstrate a positive, problem‑solving attitude at all times. Community outreach experience.
