Hematopathologist / Surgical Pathologist, Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine We are seeking an academic Hematopathologist/Surgical Pathologist to provide clinical services, teaching, and research opportunities within our highly collegial faculty group. Job Overview The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine invites a candidate to participate in hematopathology and surgical pathology subspecialty services, with additional opportunities in autopsy, cytopathology, and molecular pathology. The role includes clinical service, resident/fellow teaching, and collaborative research. Essential Functions Participation in hematopathology and surgical pathology case review and interpretation, with preparation of diagnostic pathology reports. Provision of consultations to other physicians regarding diagnoses and medical implications. Participation in on‑call coverage. Participation in multidisciplinary conferences aligned with clinical service responsibilities. Teaching pathology residents, medical students, and fellows. Attendance at sectional, divisional, and departmental meetings and educational events. Perform related duties based on departmental need. Minimum Requirements Must have all the following prior to the effective date of appointment: Medical degree (MD or DO) Completion of a three‑year residency in Anatomic Pathology or a four‑year Anatomic and Clinical Pathology program Completion of a one‑year fellowship in Hematopathology (if hired as Hematopathologist) Active and unrestricted Ohio State Medical License Additional Qualifications Considered Board certification or eligibility in Hematopathology, Anatomic Pathology, or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Physical Requirements / Work Environment Office environment - no specific unusual physical or environmental demands Compensation and Benefits Salary and academic rank are commensurate with experience.
