Rotating shifts: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) and Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide compassionate care in the HVTI-Stepdown unit. The role includes potential floating to units J1-2, J33, and ED to care for similar patient populations. Candidates must be adaptable to the operational needs of the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in a stepdown unit environment.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement patient care plans.
• Handle patient documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
• Work every other holiday as part of the staffing requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for prior to travel.
• Must have 18 months of recent stepdown experience; travel experience is acceptable.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required and must be active.
• Current Ohio nursing license or compact state license in hand at the time of submission.
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate tests to be completed during orientation.
