The nurse oversees patient assessments, care planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration, ensuring safety and optimal outcomes for all patients. Job Details Certifications include BLS Certification and ACLS as required prior to the first shift. Education requirements: registered nurse licensure and current certifications. Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU). Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Current RN licensure; BLS Certification and ACLS Certification (as required); active and valid state nursing license; 2 years of bedside clinical experience. Responsibilities include performing nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, developing individualized care plans, participating in patient rehabilitation programs, ensuring accurate documentation, initiating discharge planning, and providing patient education. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to monitor and respond to patient needs, ensures safety standards are maintained, and contributes to a positive work environment. Provides direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel, delegates appropriately, and maintains communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and training needs. Assumes charge responsibilities after orientation and actively pursues professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
