Program Director of Standards and Learning Agency Responsible for leading the Office of Standards and Learning, overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational standards and curriculum to ensure high-quality learning experiences across the state. Job Summary The Program Director will provide strategic oversight of statewide educational standards, curriculum development, instructional design, professional development, stakeholder collaboration, policy implementation, and data analysis, ensuring alignment with national best practices and Oklahoma’s educational objectives. Essential Functions Hold strong knowledge of education policies and standards at state and national levels. Design and implement innovative educational programs. Use data to inform decision‑making and drive improvements. Collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and policymakers. Lead the development and review of statewide educational standards and curriculum guidelines, aligning them with best practices and Oklahoma’s needs. Provide strategic direction for instructional design, promoting technology integration and research‑based pedagogical approaches. Develop and implement professional development programs for educators. Collaborate with district leaders and education organizations to promote a shared vision for educational excellence. Ensure effective implementation of educational policies related to standards, curriculum, and assessments. Analyze assessment data and prepare comprehensive reports for senior leadership and stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications Master’s Degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field (official transcripts required upon hire). Seven (7) years of experience in educational leadership, curriculum development, or assessment practices. Possession of a valid teaching certificate. Special Requirements Authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. Must successfully complete a pre‑employment background check. Must possess a valid driver’s license from a U.S. state or territory for necessary job‑related travel. Supervisory Responsibilities Supervisors manage a team of employees, ensuring effective performance, resource management, and conflict resolution. Physical Demands and Work Environment Office setting: Oliver Hodge Building, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.Physical demands: ability to stand, reach, bend 50% of the time; operate computer and office equipment 75% of the time; ascend/descend stairs 25% of the time; lift up to 25 lbs.Cognitive requirements: clear communication, analytical skills, decision‑making, sustained focus, adaptability.
