Clean Room Assembly Technician

This role focuses on electronic assembly work within a clean room production environment for the medical device industry. You will work on circuit boards and related hardware, using job sheets to assemble small components by hand and, depending on assignment, operate SMT or testing equipment or perform soldering tasks. The position offers multiple shift options, steady production work, and a quiet, air-conditioned facility designed for ergonomic, small-part assembly.

Responsibilities

  • Stand for the full shift at a pneumatic-powered assembly or shuttle line while performing production tasks.
  • Work with circuit boards and various hardware that move in front of you via the pneumatic shuttle system.
  • Read and follow detailed job sheets that explain exactly which parts to use and where each component must be placed.
  • Hand place dime- and quarter-sized pieces from bins into designated locations on circuit boards with precision and care.
  • For Operator A assignments, stand at a workstation and place very small parts, such as push-tack-sized components, onto circuit boards.
  • For Operator B assignments, operate SMT machines or run testing machines on finished circuit boards, following established procedures and quality standards.
  • For Operator C assignments, perform soldering work throughout the shift on circuit boards and related electronic assemblies.
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency when working with small parts, ensuring proper placement and secure assembly.
  • Follow clean room and static/electric safe standards at all times, including handling components and equipment according to safety and quality guidelines.
  • Be available to work Saturdays as needed to meet production demands.
  • Contribute to a stable, efficient production workflow by maintaining reliable attendance and consistent performance in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of work experience in a production or manufacturing environment for Operator A roles.
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience as a CNC operator, SMT operator, PCBA operator, wire harness technician, solderer, electronics repair or assembly worker, wire puller, or automotive electrical worker for Operator B roles.
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience as a solderer for Operator C roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand job sheets and written work instructions.
  • Strong hand dexterity and the ability to work accurately with very small parts and components.
  • Ability to stand for the entire shift while performing repetitive assembly tasks.
  • Ability and willingness to work Saturdays as required by production needs.
  • Stable work history in a production or manufacturing role, with recent positions of at least one year in duration.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with electronic assembly, including circuit boards and medical device components.
  • Experience in wire harness work, CNC operations, soldering, welding, or related manufacturing skills.
  • Familiarity with SMT machines, testing equipment, or PCBA processes.
  • Experience in electronics repair, electronics assembly, or electrical work in automotive or machine build environments.
  • Comfort working from job sheets or similar documentation in an assembly or production setting.
  • Previous work in a clean room or static/electric safe environment is beneficial.
  • Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail in a quiet, ergonomic production setting.

Why Work Here?
