Senior Electrical Control Systems Engineer (P.E.)

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Electrical Control Systems Engineer (P.E.). This role is hybrid in Chandler, AZ. Summary: We are partnering with a growing engineering consulting firm seeking a Senior Electrical Control Systems Engineer (P.E.) to lead Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (EI&C) projects supporting municipal and industrial facilities. This role will serve as a technical leader responsible for design, power system studies, automation systems, and project execution from concept through commissioning. Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical, instrumentation, and controls system design projects
- Perform power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, load flow, and motor starting analyses
- Develop and review P&IDs, control narratives, wiring diagrams, I/O lists, and related design documentation
- Design PLC, HMI, and SCADA network architectures
- Serve as Engineer of Record and provide sealed Arizona design deliverables
- Conduct QA/QC reviews and mentor junior engineers
- Support construction, startup, commissioning, RFIs, and submittal reviews
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- Arizona PE registration or ability to obtain through comity
- 5+ years of electrical and/or controls engineering experience
- Strong NEC knowledge and AutoCAD Electrical proficiency
- Experience with PLC and HMI/SCADA systems
- Proven ability to lead projects through design and construction
- Experience with SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower
- Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam experience
- PLC/HMI programming experience
- Municipal, water/wastewater, mining, industrial, utility, infrastructure, or data center project experience
- Consulting engineering background
