Radiologic Technologist - Radiology


Job Details:


• Work night shifts with schedule options: Thursday and Friday 8:30 PM to 6:30 AM OR Friday and Saturday 8:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• Prepare patients and perform radiographic procedures in diagnostic radiology under direction of radiologist or other providers
• Operate imaging equipment and perform diagnostic studies according to specific guidelines and protocols
• Utilize appropriate radiation protection measures following ALARA principles and safety standards (OSHA, PPE, hand washing)
• Interview patients to obtain medical history and document information into RIS system
• Position patients appropriately and select technical factors to produce maximum diagnostic quality images with minimal repeats
• Ensure correct image identification including placement of ID markers and proper annotation
• Review studies for technical accuracy and approve images for archiving to PACS
• Perform PACS reconciliations accurately and completely in timely manner
• Document fluoro time and estimated skin exposure for fluoroscopy studies
• Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC system and follow workflow from order entry to exam completion
• Assist in transporting patients as needed and communicate with radiologists during exams
• Maintain flexibility for scheduling reassignment and shift rotations including weekends, call, and holiday rotations
• Provide positive teaching environment for staff, students, interns, providers and visitors
• Observe and report malfunctioning equipment following proper procedures
• Assist in onboarding new employees and act as mentor and role model
