Pediatric Endocrinologist Opportunity
UW Health in northern Illinois seeks a BE/BC pediatric endocrinologist to join our specialized team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the care of children and adolescents with endocrine disorders while working alongside dedicated colleagues in a community-based outpatient practice with consultative inpatient coverage.
Your practice includes the following:
- Collaboration with experienced pediatric subspecialists and access to UW Health resources.
- On-site certified diabetes educators, clinical dieticians, and clinical pharmacists with expertise in pediatric care.
- A newly renovated, state-of-the-art clinic equipped for advanced endocrine and diabetes care.
- Access to an ADA-recognized diabetes education program with dedicated RN and RD educators.
- Built-in referral base as member of the region's leading group for primary care providers
- Extended support from pediatric specialists at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, WI.
- Academic appointment and teaching opportunities available through the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford.
Education
- MD or DO - Required
License/Certifications
- Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire - Required
- Active Illinois medical license - Required
- Board Certification or Board Eligible in Endocrinology. Board certification must be obtained within 5 years - Required
- Bi-annual CPR certification - Preferred
