Description Substation Technician We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Substation Technician to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on essential electrical infrastructure projects, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of substations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a commitment to safety and quality. Key Responsibilities: - Perform construction, installation, and maintenance of electrical substations - Assist in the assembly and wiring of substation equipment and components - Conduct inspections and testing of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards - Troubleshoot and diagnose issues within substation systems - Follow safety protocols and procedures during all phases of construction and maintenance - Document work performed and maintain accurate records of inspections and repairs - Collaborate with team members and contractors to complete projects on time and within scope Skills and Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in electrical or substation work preferred - Basic knowledge of electrical systems and substation equipment - Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment - Commitment to safety standards and procedures - Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed Join our team and contribute to building reliable electrical infrastructure.
