URGENT: Housekeeper Wanted - Experienced Housekeeper Needed In New York, Ny $55/Hour

We are looking for a reliable, discreet and highly organised Housekeeper / Household Assistant to assist with the care of a private family residence in SoHo, Manhattan. The family travels frequently and the apartment is not occupied full-time, so the position requires someone flexible who can provide consistent care of the residence throughout the year and increased support when the family is in New York. When the family is away, the role would generally involve one visit per week (approximately 5–8 hours) to ensure the apartment is thoroughly cleaned, organised and well maintained. Responsibilities will include:

• General and detailed housekeeping throughout the apartment
• Laundry, ironing and wardrobe organisation
• Changing and refreshing bed linen
• Maintaining bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen and living areas to a high standard
• Monitoring and replenishing household supplies and toiletries
• Receiving deliveries and assisting with occasional errands
• Preparing the residence ahead of the family's arrival, including fresh linens, groceries, flowers and general presentation
• Helping to ensure the apartment is always organised and ready for the family's use

When the family is in residence, additional hours will be required. Duties may include daily housekeeping, morning room make-up, laundry, breakfast assistance, shopping, errands and general household support. We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working in high-end private residences
• Is trustworthy, discreet and professional
• Has excellent attention to detail and high housekeeping standards
• Is proactive and able to work independently
• Is comfortable following established household preferences and checklists
• Is comfortable around dogs
• Has good communication skills
• Is flexible with hours when the family is in New York

Continuity is particularly important to us. We would ideally like to establish a long-term relationship with the same person rather than having different cleaners attend each week. The family's long-standing housekeeper is leaving after many years, and there may be an opportunity for the successful candidate to receive a handover to understand the apartment, household preferences and expected standards.
