Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health Location: Chicago, IL Department: Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center - Behavioral Health Position Type: Full-Time, 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends and holidays Pay Range: $38.20 - $57.30 per hour Benefits Eligible: Yes Overview Our inpatient Behavioral Health unit provides compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals experiencing acute psychiatric needs in a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment. Nurses work collaboratively with providers, social workers, and therapists to support recovery and stabilization. Qualifications Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association One year or more of RN experience required Behavioral Health RN experience strongly preferred Responsibilities Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, and compassionate communication to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum. Schedule & Compensation Full-time, 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends and holidays. Pay: $38.20 - $57.30 per hour. May include shift, on‑call, and incentive pay based on role and performance. Opportunity for annual increases.
