Job Description Opportunity: Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology Job Details: Provide inpatient consults, emergency department consults, and transfer evaluations Perform upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, and fulguration of bleeders Conduct injection of varices and diagnostic/therapeutic ERCP procedures Perform PEG tube placements and esophageal dilatation/manometry Interpret esophageal manometry studies and perform small bowel biopsies Conduct lower GI endoscopy including flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy Perform colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision capabilities Execute liver biopsies and manage Sengstaken/Blakemore tube insertion ERCP experience preferred for this gastroenterology position Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) experience preferred Board certification required with fellowship training ACLS certification required Facility: This regional medical center serves as a comprehensive healthcare facility providing advanced medical services to the East Texas community.
