ARRT - Ultrasound Technician Shift: Day/Evenings M-F 8 hr shifts, No weekends Employment Type: Travel, Float as needed Position Overview: MLee Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Tech to join our dynamic team. The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for delivering prompt diagnostic services to inpatients and outpatients following the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. Their duties include performing abdominal, pelvic (gynecological and obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms. Additionally, they are skilled in scanning small parts (thyroid, breast, and scrotum) and conducting ultrasound-guided procedures such as biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with departmental protocols and physician instructions.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images for interpretation by Radiologists and other healthcare providers.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, maintaining professionalism and empathy.
- Document and maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories, imaging results, and procedural details.
- Collaborate effectively with Radiologists and other medical professionals to review images, discuss findings, and contribute to patient care plans.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety standards.
- Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques through continuing education and professional development.
- Educate patients about procedures, answering questions, and addressing concerns to enhance their understanding and comfort.
- Graduate of an accredited AMA school
- Must have vascular experience
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
- State License as a general radiographer, and/or is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- Epic experience required
- BLS required
