Hydraulic Engineer

Nature Of WorkThe purpose of this job is to manage staff and information to ensure that the City's public water and sewer utilities and private utility services are designed appropriately to serve the needs of the customers. Evaluates existing water and sewer utilities and records and provides guidance. Acts as a working engineer on Hydraulic System Models, Plan Reviews, Asset Management of Systems and Facilities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.Communicates information regarding City utilities and services to City staff, engineers, consultants, developers, contractors, and customers to ensure adherence to standards and codesPerforms and coordinates the review of public utility extensions or improvements to water, sanitary sewer, or storm sewer systems.
