IT Business Systems AnalystThe IT Business Systems Analyst serves as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, analyzing and optimizing enterprise systems and applications to support organizational goals. This role combines business process expertise with technical systems knowledge, translating business needs into system requirements and ensuring solutions align with the broader IT and enterprise architecture landscape.Key ResponsibilitiesRequirements & Systems AnalysisElicit, document, and analyze business requirements for new systems, enhancements, and integrationsTranslate business needs into functional and technical specifications, system requirements documents, and user storiesAnalyze existing business systems and workflows to identify inefficiencies, gaps, or opportunities for automationDevelop process flows, data flow diagrams, system architecture diagrams, and integration mapsConduct gap analysis between current-state and future-state system capabilitiesPartner with enterprise architecture and governance teams to ensure proposed solutions align with standards (e.g., ARB review processes)System Configuration & SupportConfigure, test, and support business applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, ticketing, or other enterprise platforms)Collaborate with developers and vendors to design system solutions that meet business requirementsSupport system integrations, data migrations, and interface design between platformsTroubleshoot system issues, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate resolution with IT teams or vendorsMaintain system documentation, configuration standards, and knowledge base articlesTesting & ImplementationDevelop test plans, test cases, and scripts for system enhancements and new implementationsLead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including defect tracking and resolution coordinationSupport change management activities, including training materials and end-user communicationParticipate in go-live planning, cutover activities, and post-implementation supportStakeholder Collaboration & GovernanceServe as primary point of contact between business units and IT for assigned systemsFacilitate requirements workshops and stakeholder interviews across departmentsPresent system recommendations and analysis findings to technical and non-technical stakeholdersEnsure system-related artifacts and documentation meet organizational governance and standardization requirementsSupport project managers with scope definition, timelines, and risk identification for systems-related initiativesQualificationsMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)1-3 years of experience as a business systems analyst, systems analyst, or similar IT analyst roleStrong understanding of systems development life cycle (SDLC) and business analysis methodologies (BABOK or equivalent)Experience with enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, or similar platforms) — configuration, support, or implementationKnowledge and basic proficiency with AI tools like Microsoft CoPilotExperience developing requirements documentation, process flows, and system diagramsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication skills, with ability to bridge technical and business audiencesWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Preferred Requirements:Experience with process modeling or diagramming tools (Visio, Figma, Lucidchart)Benefits OverviewWe offer competitive company benefits to eligible positions, such as :Medical, Dental, Vision InsuranceLife Insurance and DisabilityVoluntary Wellness Programs401(k) and RRSP programs with Company MatchPaid Vacation and HolidaysTuition ReimbursementAnd more!Benefits may vary based on job, country, union role, and/or company segment.
