Registered Nurse - Ventilated Patients and Tracheostomy Management

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00

Location

Within a 50-mile radius. Exact location details to be confirmed upon application.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with expertise in managing ventilated patients and tracheostomy care. The qualified candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care in an acute care setting, ensuring patient safety and quality care delivery.

Responsibilities

Manage care for patients requiring ventilatory support and tracheostomy management.
Administer medications and provide treatments as per physician orders.
Monitor and interpret vital signs and patient conditions.
Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Provide patient education and support to families regarding care plans.
Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control standards.
Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
Must have experience with ventilated patients and tracheostomy management.
Current RN license and certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS.
Ability to float between like units, including med-surg.
