Store Sales Associate

Job Details As a Store Sales Associate, you are a key member of the US Commercial team responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience in a fast‑paced retail environment. You support both retail and contractor customers by providing product recommendations, colour matching, order support, and outstanding service. Reporting to the Store Manager, you help drive sales success while maintaining a clean, organized, and customer‑focused store environment. The starting pay rate for this role is $16 per hour. The store operates during typical hours: Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. Sunday: Closed Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs and recommending the right products and solutions. Assist customers with product selection, colour matching, and order processing. Mix, tint, and match paint products according to customer specifications. Build knowledge of Pittsburgh Paints Company brands, products, and store processes. Process customer orders and payments through phone, in‑person, online, and email channels. Support sales initiatives and contribute to achieving store sales goals. Load, drive, and deliver customer orders via company vehicle. Resolve customer concerns and, when needed, raise issues to appropriate parties. Safely handle, load, unload, and organize products for stocking and order fulfillment. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment. Support daily store operations and team priorities as needed. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. Valid driver’s license; must pass all background checks and a physical. Customer‑service experience preferred with a team‑focused approach. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with customers professionally. Proficient with computer and keyboard use for order processing and customer support. Ability to work scheduled hours as required, including flexibility for business needs. Physical capability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally and 40–60 pounds routinely, including standing, lifting, carrying, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Ability to operate a hand truck and/or material‑handling equipment. Success Factors Strong customer‑service skills and a customer‑first mindset. Attention to detail and accuracy in daily tasks.
