Front Line Supervisor

Supervise and develop a team of 5 to 10 Field Service Technicians Work as a job leader and/or Field Service Technician when assigned Provide work direction to execute customer jobs according to scope and budget Ensure technicians have the tools and equipment needed Review safety-training completion weekly and enforce EHS policies and procedures Ensure proper use of JHA, AHA, Lifted Conductor, and Energized Work Permits Mentor technicians on Human Performance principles and tools Assess technical skills, maintain quarterly skills matrices, develop career paths and training plans Ensure data sheets, SOP compliance, customer data, and reports are accurate and timely Assist technicians with certification exam preparation Ensure exceptional customer service and obtain timely, accurate, approved change orders Coach and mentor technicians on effectively running jobs Deliver key messages, Meet with the supervisory group at least monthly Provide ongoing feedback, address performance concerns, issue approved disciplinary action, and conduct annual performance reviews Recommend merit raises according to policy Requirements Demonstrated experience with safety-focused work behaviors Managerial courage, personal integrity, technical proficiency, fiscal responsibility, continuous improvement, and proactive accountability Effective communication skills Computer proficiency using email, data entry, and basic Microsoft Office 2+ years of training, education and experience in the related work supervised Current safety training Satisfactory MVR report, background check, and drug test results Availability for regular overnight domestic travel and occasional international travel Willingness to work flexible hours, overtime, periodic weekends, holidays, and evenings Must be in good standing with Shermco with a satisfactory performance record Willingness to travel a minimum of 40% Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking ability Core Competencies Demonstrates strong leadership in supervising and developing Field Service Technicians while ensuring compliance with safety protocols and effective communication.
