Schedule: Full-Time | Hybrid
The Opportunity
A growing technology consulting and integration firm is looking for an experienced Design Production Manager to take ownership of its drawing production function.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has progressed through CAD/BIM production into team leadership and understands how to build an efficient, consistent and scalable design-production environment.
You’ll manage an existing production team, oversee drawing quality and delivery, improve standards and workflows, and help lead the company's continued transition from AutoCAD into Revit .
The work spans technology systems including structured cabling, telecommunications, audiovisual and physical security .
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and develop the existing CAD/BIM production team
- Assign work, manage workloads and monitor drawing schedules
- Review drawing packages for quality, accuracy and consistency
- Remain hands-on with drawing production and revisions when required
- Develop and standardize templates, details, symbols and production procedures
- Improve QA/QC processes across the department
- Help drive the longer-term transition from AutoCAD to a Revit-first production environment
- Coordinate closely with designers and project managers
- Support production of device layouts, RCPs, telecom room layouts, rack elevations, risers, system details and schedules
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and technology
- Support future hiring, onboarding and training as the team expands
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of relevant CAD/BIM, design or drawing-production experience
- Strong professional experience with both Revit and AutoCAD
- Previous experience leading or managing CAD, BIM, Revit or design-production resources
- Strong understanding of construction documentation and drawing standards
- Experience developing templates, standards and QA/QC processes
- Ability to estimate production workload, resources and delivery timelines
- Comfortable balancing team leadership with hands-on technical work
- Experience within an established engineering, architecture, construction or technology-design environment
Experience with telecommunications, structured cabling, audiovisual, access control or video surveillance systems would be particularly valuable.
Exposure to tools such as Bluebeam Revu, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Dynamo or Power Automate , as well as experience helping an organization transition from AutoCAD to Revit, would also be beneficial.
Why Consider It?
This isn't a position where you'll simply inherit somebody else's production process.
You'll have the opportunity to shape how the department operates , improve standards and workflows, develop the existing team and play a significant role in how the company's design capabilities evolve as the business continues to grow.
