Manufacturing Engineer, 1st shift RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:
- Responsible for supporting the current manufacturing and facilitating the continuous improvement
- processes associated with the manufacturing methods and processes in the plant facility. Also develops
- solutions for production problems related to materials, processes, and tooling. Supports new products and
- programs by developing new processes, designing tooling and machinery, and developing production
- controls. Responsible for set-up of new equipment, ensures proper operation of the new equipment, and to
- teach others the proper use of this equipment. Accountable for applying sound economic methods to
- equipment and space utilization to meet design and quality criteria with the lowest expense and consistent
- with the facilities financial and non-financial objectives.
- This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with one (1) to three (3) years of progressive, hands on manufacturing engineering experience.
- This position also requires knowledge of formal problem solving methods along with experience with financial controls and product costing.
- Previous experience Plant Operations Manager, Plant Continuous Improvement Manager, or Plant Manager with new products and process introductions along with a working knowledge of lean manufacturing practices and procedures is also required.
- In the absence of a four (4) degree in engineering, a minimum of six (6) years experience is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, & PowerPoint) as well as Internet software and E-mail is required.
