About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (1900 - 0730) Experience: 1 year ICU experience preferred License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice Required Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor Required - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor Required - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor Required Must-Have: - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred - Acute care facility experience preferred Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patients' health or situation. Analyzes the assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan and coordinates care delivery. Employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborates with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients and family members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participates in discharge planning to provide continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Organizational Requirements: All associates are required to receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment. Medical and religious exemptions may apply. Participation in E-Verify is required. Unit Information: The unit has a total of 4 ICU beds. Staffing ratios are 2:1. Call is required, with call offs for low census. Floating may be required. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. The unit utilizes a medication system and a documentation system. Phlebotomy services are available 24/7.
