Position Summary A Member Business Credit Specialist researches and examines credit risks, assesses credit history, and assists with making recommendations on portfolio management as well as prepares files and documentation for underwriting and loan approval. This position also performs future projections and prepares financial spreads for new loan requests, renewals, and annual reviews. This position always projects a positive and friendly image for the credit union through interactions with members and co-workers. This is a full-time position working M-F during business hours at our Marshfield or Stevens Point Branch. Performs financial analysis from tax returns corporate tax returns, personal financial statements, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable reports, credit bureau results, real estate tax status and other data to prepare loan documentation. Supports the preparation of interest paid statements and complete financial reviews on Member Business loans. Supports the completion of the annual reviews per loan policy. Orders and checks credit report to identify credit worthiness of applicant based on industry standards for collateral/equity value. Occasional member business site visits for the purpose of photographic documentation of collateral properties. Occasional member interaction to gather loan documentation materials. Reinforce continuous collaboration and respectful communication between all departments by promoting strong, positive and productive working relationships through the commitment to the company’s core values, vision and mission statements. Requirements High school education or GED and three to five years of similar experience. Loan processing experience preferred. A high degree of mental concentration to interpret and act upon a wide range of situations, even under pressure. Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail, ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of commercial loan products and procedures. Exceptional communication skills. Must be friendly and able to represent the credit union in a professional and positive manner. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of commercial loan products and procedures. Compensation Starting base pay of $20.49 per hour based on experience , with earning potential of up to $30.74 per hour. *The final offer will be based on experience, skills, internal equity, and market data.
