This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to health and safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This position is deemed safety sensitive due to the fact that a person improperly performing the essential or marginal functions of the job would constitute a threat to the health or safety of the employee, the employees co-workers, and/or the public at large./ppEssential duties and responsibilities include:/pulliPerform all cleaning duties for facilities using provided ServiceMaster products, tools, and procedures/liliPerform general cleaning tasks including, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing all designated areas such as offices, restrooms, hallways, and break rooms./liliEmpty and sanitize trash receptacles and dispose of waste following facility protocols./liliReplenish supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper in restrooms and common areas./liliClean and polish furniture and fixtures./liliClean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees./liliDust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment./liliMaintain inventory of supplies and equipment./liliUse appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment, including PPE, following all safety and usage guidelines as per OSHA standards./liliHandle and dispose of biohazard materials safely in designated areas when required./liliOpens and locks facilities, enables and disables security system as required./liliReport any maintenance issues, damages, or supply needs to the Location Supervisor promptly./liliTo perform any other duties within the scope of the position to meet the needs of the business./li/ulpEducation, experience, knowledge, and skill requirements include:/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred./lili1-2 years experience in in custodial/janitorial field/liliPrior experience working in a professional janitorial company, hotel, hospital, school, etc., preferred/liliMust have a current, valid drivers license and clean driving record/liliDrive personal vehicles to assigned building and perform required janitorial tasks./liliKnowledge of safe handling and disposal of cleaning chemicals./liliAbility to read and understand labels, SDS (Safety Data Sheets), and safety guidelines./liliParticipate in regular safety training sessions and stay informed of any updates to protocols or standards./liliHigh level of personal integrity and ethics./liliAttention to detail and accuracy./liliEffective self-management practices and ability to manage multiple tasks throughout the day./liliAbility to establish relationships with clients, vendors, and peers./liliEffective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to communicate with team members and customers./liliAbility to remain focused on exceptional customer service both internally and externally./liliThe ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner./li/ulpWork environment includes:/pulliThis position works in multiple environments based on assigned clients and business needs, which may include office buildings, hospitals, schools, and manufacturing/industrial environments./liliWork is performed in various indoor commercial spaces, which may include offices, restrooms, stairwells, and kitchens./liliDue to the nature of the position, regular travel may be required between client locations./liliThe environment may contain high-traffic areas, requiring awareness of surrounding activity./liliExposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and waste materials./liliSome duties may require work outdoors or in areas with limited temperature control./liliThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate./liliThis position must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays./li/ulpPhysical demands and mental competencies include:/pulliConstant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching over head, reaching forward./liliMust be able to transport 25lbs regularly./liliAbility to read and understand cleaning instructions/liliAbility to differentiate between cleaning products and uses/liliAbility to operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and power washers./liliManual dexterity and visual acuity are necessary for operating equipment safely and ensuring a thorough clean./liliMust be able to operate a motor vehicle./liliAbility to follow instructions and safety guidelines closely./liliTime management skills to complete tasks within allocated time frames./liliAttention to detail to ensure all areas meet cleanliness and sanitation standards/liliAbility to handle potentially stressful situations, such as emergency spills or sanitation needs./liliAbility to communicate information and ideas so others will understand./liliAbility to concentrate for long periods of time./li/ulpOther duties may change at any time with or without notice./ppCompensation: $13.00 per hour/p/div
