Our client in looking for a Project Manager to join their team in Eagle Mountain, UT. The On-Site Project Manager will serve as the Project Management representative for the Design Team at a designated construction site. The role is responsible for facilitating communication and information flow between the construction and Design Teams to support project execution and the construction schedule.

The on-site schedule consists of one full business week at the project site followed by a partial three-day week, allowing site personnel time to commute to the home office and coordinate with the design team. The schedule may be adjusted for holidays or other home-office events with prior written agreement between the parties.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Facilitate the resolution of design and engineering issues throughout the construction phase.

• Conduct general field reviews and observations of ongoing construction progress.

• Support design revisions by providing oversight, coordination, and review to ensure revisions align with field conditions and required timing.

• Coordinate with the Design Team Project Manager regarding attendance at Change Order review meetings with the site construction team.

• Participate in the Submittal, Request for Information (RFI), Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), and code compliance review processes.

• Work with the Owner and Contractor to coordinate and prioritize Submittal reviews and RFI responses in support of the overall construction schedule.

• Coordinate with the Contractor to escalate issues through the RFI process.

• Participate in Site Observation Walks and related required processes.

• Attend and participate in construction-phase meetings and coordinate Design Team representation as appropriate. Meetings may include Owner-Architect-Engineer-Contractor (OAEC) meetings, Design Team meetings, change management meetings, Owner design reviews, Contractor construction progress meetings, Punchlist and Project closeout meetings, RFI and Submittal review meetings, commissioning meetings, and other required Project meetings.

• Provide weekly updates to communicate lessons learned, design improvements, and other relevant information from the construction group to Design Team members.

• Support the Owner team with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) by communicating site conditions, observations, and other required information to the Design Team for development of recommendations to resolve incidents.

• Provide weekly updates to the Design Team and Client teams regarding construction progress.

• Assist Design Team members during site visits by coordinating advance scheduling and activities with Contractors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify errors and implement appropriate corrections.

• Experience working on large-scale design and construction projects is highly desirable.

• Experience with highly technical design and construction projects, including Mission Critical, Cleanroom, or Manufacturing environments, is highly desirable.

• Data Center experience is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently while serving as a proactive, highly motivated team leader.

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external business partners at all levels.

• Solid knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and construction and engineering processes.

• Minimum of five years of direct experience with an architectural or consulting engineering firm, including significant field experience reviewing and overseeing construction administration activities.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, SharePoint, and Procore.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• May be tasked with lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 25 lbs., if able to do so.

• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for moderate periods of time.

• Must be able to bend at the knees and waist frequently

• Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and a computer mouse and keyboard.
