Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms. \n
- Create tailored treatment plans aligned with individual client needs and therapeutic goals, employing evidence-based methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). \n
- Engage in regular monitoring of client progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to optimize effectiveness. \n
- Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care practices. \n
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, integrated care. \n
- Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development workshops to share knowledge and experiences. \n
- Advocate for clients by promoting awareness around mental health issues and actively participating in efforts to reduce stigma. \n
In this role, you will primarily work with clients facing challenges related to mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Your expertise will also support various vulnerable populations, such as individuals experiencing homelessness, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. You will be devoted to not only treating these clients but also empowering them to reclaim control over their lives and emotional health.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory. \n
- A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required. \n
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for the establishment of strong therapeutic relationships grounded in trust and empathy. \n
- A nonjudgmental and compassionate approach to client interactions that honors the unique life experiences of each individual. \n
- Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively balance client loads and administrative responsibilities. \n

- Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices and techniques. \n
