The Export Compliance Specialist is an integral part of the business and ensures the company remains in compliance with regulatory policies relating to the global export of goods. The individual must be a self-starter, problem solver, and keep up to date with the changing regulations and sanctions globally.Major Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrepare international shipping documentationAuthorize the release of export sales orders to the warehouseEnter export declarations into the government's ACE portalIdentify and rectify areas of export non-complianceMaintain record keeping per the current requirementsSubmit license applications when necessaryDevelop and conduct internal training on export complianceMonitor changes in regulations and global export issuesUpdate export compliance procedures and manualsInteract with various departments, and employees at all levels, while maintaining a customer focused, team attitudeAct as a resource to recommend proper shipping channels and processesInteract directly with government agencies and freight forwarders as necessaryWork on special projects as assigned by the supervisorResearch new sanctions and propose new processes to maintain complianceAdditional duties as assignedBasic (Required) QualificationsBachelor's or associate degree in a related fieldAttention to detail is critically importantStrong computer skills, especially with MS-Office applicationsWillingness to continue learning trade regulationsAbility to perform job duties with minimal supervisionPrior shipping experience would be beneficialWorking knowledge of IncotermsRequired DetailsExperience: 2-3 Years Travel Required: No Clearance Required: No
