Materials Planner

A growing aerospace manufacturer is seeking an experienced Materials Planner to support production planning, materials coordination, and overall supply chain execution within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position will work closely with purchasing, production, and other internal teams to ensure materials are available to support production requirements, customer demand, and operational priorities. Responsibilities: Support and help drive the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. Develop monthly production plans based on demand requirements and available capacity. Establish and maintain weekly production schedules. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure production and supply plans are realistic and aligned. Help establish and maintain S&OP KPIs and planning metrics. Distribute work orders and assist production teams with obtaining necessary drawings, parts, and materials. Participate in cross-functional meetings to identify and resolve supply chain and production issues. Monitor material requirements, inventory levels, shortages, and production needs. Communicate material shortages, schedule changes, and recommended actions to appropriate stakeholders. Maintain planning and master data for new and existing products. Manage open planning issues and drive actions through completion. Work closely with manufacturing and production teams to support day-to-day operational needs. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field. 5+ years of materials planning or related production planning experience within a manufacturing environment. Experience with production planning, material requirements planning, inventory, and production scheduling. Experience working with ERP and/or MRP systems. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work cross-functionally with production, purchasing, supply chain, and operations teams.
