Production Supervisor

Buzzi Unicem USAs Cape Girardeau, MO Plant is looking for a Production Supervisor:

Responsibilities:

1. Supervising the shift production crew to ensure the kilns, mills and auxiliary equipment are being operated safely and efficiently in order to produce a quality product.
2. Following company Standard Operating Practices for plant operations.
3. Ensuring all employees and contractors in the plant work in a safe manner, which is consistent with company work rules and MSHA standards.
4. Ensuring the plant is run in a manner, which will avoid serious damage to equipment.
5. Running the plant in compliance with environmental regulations and ensuring that product is manufactured to company standards.
6. Ensuring that equipment operating time and through put is maximized in a manner that is consistent with the companys practices and policies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution is required; 2-year associate degree preferred
• 2 years supervisory experience
• 5 years experience working in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
• Experience supervising in a union environment is preferred
• Control room or lab experience is preferred
• Ability to work rotating shifts to support 24/7 plant operations
• Experience working in the cement, lime or aggregate industry is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
