Customer Service Representative

About the Role Our client, a healthcare organization in Salem, is looking for a Healthcare Customer Service Representative to support Medicare Advantage members in a high-volume call center. You'll answer coverage and claims questions, explain benefits clearly, and resolve member concerns with empathy and professionalism. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential, and remote or hybrid work may be possible once converted to permanent.

What You'll Do

• Provide excellent customer service to Medicare Advantage members on inbound and outbound calls
• Answer coverage, benefits, and claims-related questions
• Accurately interpret benefits and policy provisions
• Research, investigate, and triage member concerns, following up for prompt resolution
• Explain benefits in a detailed, courteous way so members understand their options
• Navigate multiple systems to review and update member information and document interactions
• Meet call center quality and productivity expectations

What You Bring

• Customer service experience
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft tools
• Excellent phone etiquette, professionalism, and empathy

Nice to Have

• Call center experience
• Healthcare or health insurance experience
• Experience with Medicare Advantage members

Work Environment On-site in a structured, fast-paced call center in Salem, OR. Professional attire is expected.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salem, OR.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
