Job Description
TruckGo keeps semis, fleets and heavy equipment moving from our shop at 128 Dav Ln, London, KY (I-75 corridor). We are hiring a full-time Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair diesel trucks in the bay and on the road, run preventive maintenance and DOT inspections, and keep clean, accurate work orders.
PAY & SCHEDULE
$22-$25 per hour starting pay, based on experience and certifications
Benefits package after 90 days
Full-time, Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM
On call as needed for mobile road service
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, emissions/aftertreatment, electrical, air brake and hydraulic systems on diesel trucks and equipment; verify every repair before it leaves
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance services and DOT inspections
Respond to road calls, perform field repairs and diagnostics, and keep the service truck stocked and organized
Review each work order before starting; log findings, steps and parts; clearly outline every billable task
Keep service writers, the foreman and the parts team updated on progress, added work and delays
Daily JSA and vehicle inspection, PPE, lockout/tagout, clean bay, first-time-fix mindset
WHAT YOU BRING
Working knowledge of diesel systems, fluid service, air-brake fundamentals and basic electrical testing; comfortable with diagnostic software
Valid driver's license with an acceptable MVR; able to pass drug screening and meet DOT requirements
Basic hand tools (specialty and diagnostic tools provided)
ASE certifications, CDL-A and OSHA 10/30 are a plus
Reliable, punctual, clear communicator, willing to learn
CAREER PATH
Written progression plan from Tech I to Tech II, Tech III and Lead Tech, then Shop Foreman, Fleet Supervisor or Technical Trainer. Structured training and certification roadmap (ASE, CDL-A, OSHA).
