Location: Bristol, IN
Shift: 1st Shift – 5:45 AM–2:15 PM, Monday–Friday
Pay: $19.00 per hour

Job Summary

Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We're seeking a Kitter to join our team in Bristol, IN. In this role, you'll be responsible for accurately preparing customer orders by gathering large quantities of parts, packaging them into bundles, and preparing completed orders for shipment.

This is a hands-on position that combines physical material handling with computer work and requires extreme attention to detail to ensure every order is complete and accurate.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Kitter, your core responsibilities will include:

-Order Preparation: Pull and organize customer orders containing large quantities of parts, typically totaling 1,000–2,000 pounds per job.

-Bundling & Packaging: Accurately package parts into bundles, typically in quantities of two, while ensuring each order is prepared according to specifications.

-Sundry Items: Use computer systems to identify orders requiring additional sundry items and determine the correct quantity of parts to add to each shipment.

-Pallet Preparation: Once orders are completely packaged, secure sundry items to the pallet and prepare the finished order for shipment.

-Production Efficiency: Complete approximately 3–5 jobs per day, depending on the size and complexity of each order, while maintaining accuracy and quality.

In addition, you will also be expected to maintain an organized work area, communicate any discrepancies or issues, and work efficiently with the production and shipping teams.

• Ability to handle and move large quantities of parts throughout the workday
• Ability to work with orders weighing approximately 1,000–2,000 pounds in total
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic computer skills and ability to use computer systems to review orders
• Ability to accurately follow order and packaging instructions
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work Monday–Friday on 1st shift

Skills:

-Attention to Detail: Able to carefully review orders and ensure the correct parts and quantities are included.

-Organization: Able to keep large orders, bundles, and additional items organized throughout the packaging process.

-Computer Skills: Comfortable using a computer to identify order requirements and determine which sundry items need to be included.

-Time Management: Able to efficiently complete multiple jobs throughout the workday while maintaining accuracy.

-Problem Solving: Able to identify discrepancies or missing items and communicate issues appropriately.

-Teamwork: Works well with coworkers and other departments to keep orders moving toward shipment.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on manufacturing and shipping environment where employees will spend much of the day moving, packaging, bundling, and preparing parts for shipment.

The position involves handling large quantities of material and working at a consistent pace to meet daily production and shipping requirements. Candidates should be comfortable with physical work and maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
