Deputy Director of Scheduling & Advance Description Location: Manhattan Manager: Director of Operations Salary Range: $7,500 - $8,500 monthly (commensurate with experience) Benefits Healthcare, dental, and vision coverage Friends for Kathy Hochul is seeking a full-time Deputy Director of Scheduling & Advance to bridge high-level calendar management with event production. Managing a vertical that includes scheduling, principal support, and advance, the Deputy Director ensures that every minute of each candidates’ day is maximized and that every major event is executed flawlessly. Responsibilities Supervise the Scheduler to ensure the campaign calendar seamlessly translates strategic political priorities into efficient, synchronized daily itineraries. Manage the end-to-end event planning and execution process. Source, negotiate, and execute vendor agreements for events, including venues, staging, and production crews. Partner directly with event leads to guarantee that all participants are fully supported, informed, and aligned on event expectations. Oversee the advance team's management of site logistics. Other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications 3–5+ years of experience across political scheduling or advance. Proven familiarity with what it takes to mount a large-scale public production. Experience managing direct reports and vendors under tight deadlines. Elite situational awareness, sound judgment, and a track record of handling high-pressure logistical updates or security concerns. Comfortable with non-traditional hours and statewide travel.
