Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Quality Control Manager to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities for industrial fabrication, manufacturing, and construction projects. This individual will be responsible for ensuring materials, fabrication processes, welding, mechanical installations, and completed products meet company standards, customer specifications, drawings, codes, and applicable industry requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial quality control, fabrication, welding inspection, mechanical systems, documentation, and construction/manufacturing processes .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Control and Quality Assurance procedures.
• Perform and oversee inspections throughout fabrication, manufacturing, and construction processes.
• Review drawings, specifications, P&IDs, quality plans, and customer requirements.
• Inspect fabricated components, piping, structural assemblies, welds, and mechanical equipment.
• Verify work is completed according to approved drawings, specifications, codes, and quality standards.
• Monitor welding activities and ensure proper welding procedures and documentation are followed.
• Coordinate required testing and inspections, including NDT when applicable.
• Maintain inspection reports, quality records, certifications, material documentation, and traceability records.
• Identify and document non-conforming materials or workmanship.
• Issue and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and oversee corrective actions.
• Perform root-cause analysis and help implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate quality requirements with Project Managers, Engineering, Production, Construction, vendors, and customers.
• Conduct supplier/vendor quality inspections when necessary.
• Ensure measuring and inspection equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
• Participate in customer and third-party inspections and audits.
• Monitor projects from initial fabrication through final inspection, testing, and completion.
• Promote continuous improvement throughout manufacturing and construction operations.
• Ensure employees and subcontractors understand and comply with established quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance within an industrial, manufacturing, fabrication, mechanical, or construction environment .
• Prior supervisory or Quality Management experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of industrial fabrication and construction processes.
• Experience with welding, piping, structural steel, mechanical equipment, and/or industrial systems highly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, specifications, and P&IDs.
• Knowledge of inspection procedures, documentation, and material traceability.
• Familiarity with applicable AWS, ASME, ASTM, ISO, or other industry quality standards is beneficial.
• Experience handling NCRs, corrective actions, and root-cause investigations.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic quality/document-control systems.

Preferred Certifications/Experience

Experience or certifications involving AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), NDT, ISO quality systems, ASME standards, welding inspection, mechanical inspection, or industrial fabrication would be highly desirable.
