Job Title

The duties of this position include:

  • Coordinating and monitoring annual medical surveillance exams.
  • Overseeing and directing a comprehensive occupational health program.
  • Conducting epidemiological investigations of disease or illness of particular relevance to the occupational health program.
  • Implementing intervention and/or new policies dependent on results of investigative findings.
  • Researching, preparing, and delivering written presentations, lectures, or briefings on occupational health and safety topics.
  • Providing technical expertise in development of new regulations, protocol, and policy in the occupational health program.
  • Interpreting regulations and directives to develop supplemental health policies.
  • Providing consultation and written reports in regards to occupational health related programs.
  • Providing technical supervision, guidance, and consultation on proper technique and protocol for performing ergonomic surveys, audiometric tests, noise surveys, and other health tests and screenings.
  • Coordinating nursing support for a large organization.
  • Counseling employees on subjects such as abnormal examination findings, general health and fitness, job limitations, emotional problems, and/or special require examinations.
  • Serving as a member of safety and health related committees.
  • Evaluating the operations of a Regional Occupational Health Clinic (ROHC).
  • Assurance of the uniform application of all administrative and technical operating policies and procedures within a Regional Occupational Health Clinic.
  • Ensuring proper initiation, maintenance, and disposition of employee medical records for multiple clinics.
  • Updating local Standard Operating Procedures for clinical and medical surveillance programs.
