Location: Alexandria, Louisiana Job Type: 1099 Independent Contractor Setting: Onsite Schedule: 2-5 days per week | 8-hour sessions Compensation: $200-$250 per hour

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Psychiatrist (MD/DO) to provide comprehensive medical disability evaluations in Alexandria, Louisiana.

This is an excellent opportunity for a psychiatrist who enjoys clinical assessment, medical record review, detailed documentation, and providing objective, evidence-based medical opinions.

This is an evaluation-only position and does not involve prescribing medications, active treatment, or ongoing continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive and structured psychiatric disability evaluations.
• Perform detailed psychiatric and clinical assessments in accordance with established guidelines.
• Review medical records, treatment history, and supporting documentation.
• Assess functional limitations and relevant psychiatric conditions.
• Document clinical findings accurately using standardized evaluation templates.
• Develop clear, objective, and evidence-based medical opinions.
• Provide well-supported causation and/or impairment analyses when applicable.
• Prepare thorough evaluation reports that meet applicable regulatory and organizational standards.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Follow established evaluation protocols and quality standards.
• Work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism, objectivity, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.

• Active, unrestricted Louisiana medical license.

• Strong psychiatric assessment and clinical documentation skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Ability to interpret medical records and supporting clinical documentation.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce clear, objective reports.

• Ability to provide independent, evidence-based medical opinions.

• Comfortable working within standardized clinical and regulatory guidelines.

• Prior experience with disability evaluations, compensation examinations, forensic assessments, or similar evaluation-based work is preferred but not required.

Compensation & Schedule

• Compensation: $200-$250 per hour

• Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor

• Schedule: 8-hour sessions

• Availability: Weekdays and weekends

• Commitment: Approximately 2-5 days per week, based on availability

• Work Setting: Onsite in Alexandria, Louisiana
